This past weekend my Mom and I organized, well everything in the kitchen. It began by sorting out the dry goods and it turned into a full-fledged kitchen overhall. We got rid of all the gluten-flours and anything with high fructose corn syrup. It was probably the most satisfying organizing project I have done in a long time.

Since we often by grains and dry goods in bulk many things were in plastic bags, and storing things in plastic (especially acidic things) is bad for your health, so we used glass mason jars to store things. I was so in love with how the project turned out and how you can see all of the natural colors of the foods and spices.

I am definitely going to store all of my dry goods in glass jars in my new place, its beautiful, it lets you easily see what you have and how much, and its super convenient for buying in bulk.
